This open letter to Republicans sums up very nicely my feelings toward the current administration in Washington. By which I mean just that: nicely. My letter would more likely resemble a screed, but I think Timothy’s format works very well…

…is closing in fast on us here in Kumamoto (in Kyushu, Southern Japan). I’m stranded here now that all flights have been cancelled, and have joined the rest of the familily to await the storm, which appears to moving right for us. Outside the trees are being whipped into pennants, and before long they’ll be bending at the waist. Looks to be a fun ride!

Thanks for the outpouring of concern and offers for help, but in fact that whole business about losing my hands was intended as humor. All limbs are intact, and other than this damn rash I couldn’t be healthier. Thanks. Now get back to work.
